Band bio:

“Heaven Grey” started in 1993 as a death metal band, then moved on to doom/gothic metal, influenced by the bands like Paradise Lost, Tiamat, Sentenced and My Dying Bride. We released 2 albums in the 1990s : “Northwind” and “Memory River” and gained quite wide fame in Latvia and Lithuania.

Unfortunately, the band split up at the beginning of 2000s because of personal reasons and the name “Heaven Grey” moved into the shadows for some years. The fate has been cruel to us after that and two band members (lead vocalist Ansis and guitarist Sigvards) died in some years after the split-up. But in 2007 remaining members of “Heaven Grey” joined forces with some friends to make a tribute concert for our passed-away colleagues and then decided to return to active rehearsals and concerts. We had a pleasure to play more than 200 gigs in our history (before the split-up and after the reunion) and to participate in different metal festivals in Latvia and abroad.

A completely new set of songs with lyrics in Latvian and English has been created after the “Heaven Grey”‘s reunion. It was released as a self-financed album “Falling Mist” in June 2010. Now the band is working on a new material and starts looking for a label to release our next album on.
