Hello — I’m new to the site and joined to share some tracks — hopefully not too obnoxiously
as I write and post to my Soundcloud site frequently –like a studio notebook.
Please excuse me if I’ve already broken any posting rules.
I’m writing from Boston, MA, USA. where I’ve been listening to and writing music since the days
of early Cure records, Bauhaus, Joy Division, etc.
Like so many fans, I’m still blown away by sounds and lyrics from Joy Division’s 2nd record, CLOSER.
Perhaps this can be a discussion/forum topic sometime.
I enjoy writing, recording, experimenting in the studio.
Just read another interesting article about Martin Hannett and Factory Records and the Manchester music scene
centering around New Order and the Hacienda club in Manchester. Not necessarily “Goth” but if you’re a producer/musician,
so many awesome sounds and records came from that place and time.
At least we have Joy Division and New Order for goth listeners…
I’m also a huge fan of the Robert Smith/Siouxie/Steve Severin period of records. Great sounds there too!
Well then, that’s my intro… Hope all are well wherever they may be.
Timelines is the 18th solo album from veteran Norwegian ambient/electronic artist Erik Wøllo. It’s a warm, epic and shimmering cycle of memorable electronic music. Noted for his many Echoes Radio albums of the month – and placement on “Best of the Year” lists at Amazon, Zone Music Reporter, Schallwelle Award (Germany), and others – Timelines continues in that tradition with nine engaging pieces exploring the idea of music and time: how elements of past, present and future affect a listener’s perceptions.
As Nations Decay: 2nd album from the US industrial/hard dance duo, featuring collaborations with NITRO/NOISE and SLEETGROUT. Limited edition digipak version with 3 exclusive bonus tracks – remixes from AESTHETIC PERFECTION, ALTER DER RUINE and CRYOGENIC ECHELON!
