Hellhammer - Demon Entrails 2xCD

The essential pre-Celtic Frost band. Death metal before it was called death metal. Sometimes called doom metal. This was not an official Hellhammer release - this is remastered demo tapes. Their demo tapes were traded in the underground tape trading scene - this remastered 2xCD set is far better than the multi-generation cassette tapes from the 80s.

Possessed - Seven Churches CD

Maybe more well known as a pre-Primus band. This is classic death metal with more of a thrashy speed metal sound. Lyrics are all classic death metal, one track with the Exorcist theme intro.
