Mt. Sims – Happily Ever After CD

Published: 2010

Who is Mt. Sims? Recording since 2000, first album called Ultrasex, an album of electro-pop music. In 2004 the Wild Light LP was released which included a collaboration with David J. of Bauhaus. This 2008 release, Happily Ever After, ventures into a darker rock sound, very similar to Bauhaus.

The CD starts off with the track Happily Ever After which is a grating wall of noise, sort of a WAKE UP call before the actual music starts. Each track has a semi-dancefloor gothic rock sound. Song titles like Grave, Love’s Revenge, The Bitten Bite Back, and Hotwater/Coldblood let you know this is not a collection of happy love songs. This is gothic rock -  dark, danceable and carefully disturbed.

Mt. Sims are: Matt Sims – Vocals/Guitar, Randy Twigg-Bass/Vocals, Andre Lange-Drums.
